3. Timah / Tíməh

Requested by Mareck.

Today is a first in a few ways. It’s the first post requested by another person, as well as the first language reviewed to have a hacm orthography. That’s it! We’re going to look at Timah!

(Interestingly, hovo beo mempo master’s third episode was also the first request, but instead of Timah, he reviewed Vötgil there.)

Disclaimer: I know Mareck personally, so I might have a bias. I’ll try to be as objective as possible, though.

Introduction

soonoyun!

A while back, I discovered a certain YouTube channel that critiqued constructed languages, and I quickly became a fan of that channel. However, it was becoming apparent that the creator is uploading videos less often than before, and the affiliated Discord server became infamous for being an echo chamber.

Hence this blog. I decided to go for a textual format, because:

  1. in general, I’m more comfortable with working with text than with video
  2. it’s faster to work with text → faster reviews!
  3. it’s easier to link to sources an such
  4. to be at least a bit different from said YouTube channel.

The clongo I’ll be reviewing for the first installment is not yet set. I’m looking for requests. Comment the name of the language you want requested and link to documentation.
